Somatic Practice Lab will explore different ways of being present with the body and mind. It is an exploratory practice that is inspired by our soma and its physiological processes. Endless entry points and multiple modalities can and will be utilized. There are no binary’s in this practice, it is fluid, queer and always changing. We will embody our political vessels and explore what it means to be alive during these times of chaos.

Everything in the Universe is composed of vibrations, including your body. During a sound bath the frequencies and the vibrations emitted from various instruments take your body, mind and spirit on an intuitive journey. Through the practice of surrender and deep listening, your brain waves have an opportunity to move towards slower and deeper states of rest. The resonance from the soundscape has a deeply restorative, regenerative and relaxing effect on the body, mind and nervous system.
During this workshop participants are invited to explore what it means to have a practice that nourishes them. Through restorative movement, conscious touch, deep breathing, and guided meditation, Nikki Gauci (she/her) and Mary-Dora (they/them) will take you on a journey inward. You will then be lulled and soothed by the enchanting sounds of crystal and tibetan singing bowls, koshi chimes and spirit drums.
A portion of the proceeds from this event will be donated to Wet'Suwet'En.
